How fees work
Insurance we work with
We bill the kinds of plans below and tell you whether we are in network with yours before you book. The list is by type of plan, not by company. Some plans do not pay for dry needling, and we tell you that before it is part of your care.
Many commercial and employer plans
Medicare
Workers' compensation
Auto injury coverage
If you pay yourself
If you do not use insurance, you pay for each visit on the day. We tell you what the visit costs before you book, and we do not bill your plan. Ask about reduced-fee spots if cost is the reason you are waiting.
An estimate in advance
If you pay without insurance, we give you a written estimate before your first visit: what we expect each visit to cost and what it includes. If a bill comes in $400 or more above the estimate, you have the right to dispute it. You can ask for an estimate at any time.
Checking your benefits
Sherry at the front desk checks your benefits and calls you with what she finds, before your first visit. Your plan has the final say on what it pays. Your copay, deductible and coinsurance are set by your plan.
What the first visit includes
Your first visit is about an hour with Lien. She listens, examines you, explains what she finds and agrees on a plan with you. She explains the risks and the choices before any hands-on care or dry needling.
Questions about paying
Does my plan cover this, and do you take Medicare?
We bill many kinds of plans, including Medicare, workers' compensation and auto injury coverage. Your plan decides what it pays. Sherry checks your benefits and calls you before your first visit.
What if I pay myself?
We give you a written estimate before your first visit, and you pay for each visit on the day. If your plan may reimburse you, we give you a detailed receipt to send in. Your plan decides whether it pays.
Do you treat work or auto injuries?
Yes. If you were hurt in a crash or at work, get emergency care first. Tell us who your adjuster is. Your state decides who may direct your care.
Does insurance pay for dry needling?
Some plans do and some do not. We check before it becomes part of your care and tell you what we find.
